Travis Newbold, the owner and mechanic of Newbold's Motorbike Shop, has been doing it in the dirt here in western Colorado since 1993. He grew up racing motocross and then attended the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) in Phoenix, AZ in 2002.  While working as the A-tech at dealerships, he became certified by Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and KTM. During those years, he also worked for Maxxis Off-Road (changing tires at national races), which led him to acquire an amateur National World Off-Road Championship title. He went on to race professionally in Thailand, Europe, Baja, and around the US all the while wrenching full-time for dealerships. In 2012, he won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and used the winnings to start his own shop.
